1. What these terms cover

They cover the WebsiteTimeTrack browser extension and this website. Installing or using the extension means you accept them. If you do not, do not install it.

2. What this is

WebsiteTimeTrack is a free, open-source browser extension. You install it yourself from source. There is no service behind it and no account.

3. Your data

The extension stores your data in your own browser and sends it nowhere. Nothing is collected, transmitted or sold. Backups you export are yours to keep — and yours to look after.

4. Acceptable use

It is meant to track and limit your own browsing on your own machine. Do not install it on someone else's device to monitor them without their knowledge — that is what the extension makes easy and what these terms forbid.

5. No warranty

The extension is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. It can lose measurements, miscount time or stop working after a browser update. Do not rely on it for billing, payroll or anything else that must be exact.

6. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, the author is not liable for any damage or loss arising from use of the extension — including lost data and time blocked or not blocked by its limits.

7. Blocking is not a lock

Limits and focus mode are a nudge, not security. Anyone can snooze them or disable the extension. Treat them as a reminder, not a guarantee.

8. Third parties

The extension talks to no server of ours; there is none. It is distributed through GitHub releases and this site is served by its host, each under their own terms. Your browser vendor's rules apply to loading an unpacked extension.

9. Trademarks and affiliation

An independent project, not affiliated with or endorsed by Google, Mozilla, Microsoft or Brave. All trademarks remain with their owners.

10. Changes

These terms may change with future versions. The current version always lives in the repository.
